I've changed the default image processor to Imagemagick, which means animated avatars are now supported. If your avatar was supposed to be animated, you'll need to reupload the gif for that to take effect.
EDIT: test to see if thumbnailed gifs are animated

I don't like to talk about muh feels to a bunch of strangers because it's pretty gay, but just this once I'm going to make an exception. After I socked up to dump my copypasta folder, I didn't think I would see any of you faggots again. At best, I expected a couple of people from KF to show up here, say goodbye, and then fuck off after a few days. But when I log into the admin panel, this is one of the things I see:

That massive spike in registrations coincides with me eating a perma for glowposting, but even ~2.5 weeks later we have new people trickling into Onion Farms, and the number of active users has remained pretty stable from day to day. I don't care if OF never reaches the size of Kiwi Farms, but I do want it to stick around for as long as possible so that I have a place to shoot the shit with people. Reddit is awful. 4chan has gone to shit. There aren't really any forums like Kiwi Farms, so without Onion Farms there is no more SIGSEGV. If I post anywhere else, I have to act like a completely different person.

I guess my reasons for moderating Onion Farms are ultimately pretty selfish, but if it means that I want to help foster a community where a bunch of autists can have fun laughing at other autists, then who gives a shit, right? I'm not in this for power (and pretty meaningless power, at that), for popularity, or for any other bullshit you care to name. I do it FOR FREE because I want Onion Farms to be a place where people can have fun.

Now you know why I don't like to talk about muh feels lol.

It's fine man. I feel the same way. Everywhere else is so soulless and outside of unironically Discord, I can't think of a place to just chill and talk. Thank you and Kengle both for making this place.
 
Okay. I will most likely start the migration process tonight or tomorrow. I will go with choice number 2 rather than the first suggestion. Suggestion number 1 was too much of a hassle. I uploaded a file for several hours at over 30 GB to dropbox and they said that still wouldn't work because it was not the right one. They said I have to download the entire Cpanel. I previously offered them the keys to my cPanel so they could go in there with the migration. They said no since I did not have an active webhosing account with them. So you know what? Fuck this shit. I am going to choice 2. They are Xenforo supported, their migration is easy, they have technical support by phone as well as direct chat. They seem to be popular on the Xenforo forums aside from HostGator and I explicitly told them what this forum was about. They said this was okay by them as long as we are not hosting an adult site (pornography) or selling stuff like sex toys (which we aren't). I have to get going to work but I have an idea for politics after hearing input from several persons on this.
 
How many cores will we have on the new server? Whatever we have right now with GoDaddy isn't cutting it.
 
I'm an absolute boomer about computer-touching stuff so I don't know what this 1 core/2 cores talk implies.
