What's wrong with owning a REAL MAN server class desktop that you built yourself?

Why are you buying crappily built underspec'd overpriced LENOVO OWNED Thinkpads? What's the excuse here?

If you are too poor to build a desktop with proper spec at least buy a gaming laptop so it isn't an underpowered crap. I mean there are laptops with mobile 1080 and 2080 GPU out there. Don't your eyes hurt from staring at the 13/15 inch crap 1080p poo screen? Why not buy a 40-65 inch 1ms Gsync 4K TV since you stare at the screen THE ENTIRE DAY FOR ALL OF YOUR LIVES?

Buying them used, dude. They're overpriced when you pay at the usual retail price, so these /g/men hold on till every company starts selling them off to replace them. That's when they're sold at a very affordable price tag.

Yo, nearly every gaming laptop that I've seen had less than stellar build quality. And not all ThinkPads are underpowered, for example the P17 ain't that bad.

There's ISV-certified versions of them, a.k.a. Quadro RTX GPUs. These are in the P15 and the P17. Same thing, might need a driver modification for more framerates though.

Honest talk, every guy who is into Thinkpad I know owns 3-10+ of them. Each costs 200-1000 USD depending on age and condition.
If you faggots just save up you'd be actually able to afford a good PC. And when it breaks you'd have warranty on them unlike used Thinkpads. Even if you don't it's much easier to replace parts on them. And you get to use an external mechanical keyboard.

If they owned that many ThinkPads to begin with, I think it's obvious that their priority isn't focused on a high-end PC like yours is.

These setups exist for a good reason too, especially for the ones that are really cash-strapped. Plus, aren't PS/2 or PC/XT to USB converters a thing? Assuming that you use ancient keyboards like the Model M or the Model F?

You guys are bending backwards to make your Thinkpads work while sacrificing many things when it's easier and cheaper to just get another product or 2 that works much better as their intended role instead of trying to make Thinkpads do everything.

If you just need an always online lowpowered server (many Thinkpads horders I know does that) just get Raspberry Pi bro. Its not on Intel which makes it automatically 1000x superior. Thinkpads with Zen CPUs aren't cheap or common.

No, the last ASUS board I own was ROG Zenith Extreme X399 and it was buggy as shit. You need to find patched BIOS issued by ASUS coders (that they refused to put on their official website for some reasons) on OC forums to avoid constant microstutters/USB issues. And the guy who wrote the BIOS left ASUS afterwards. I am on team Gigabyte now as evidenced by the pic above.
