Two constabularies of the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) were recently arrested by the police, queried, and stripped off their jobs following a trending video in which they were seen stopping a Dutch woman in Oyo State, Nigeria and requesting for "something" (bribe) from her. Immediately the video was posted, the two constabularies were called in by the force and placed under disciplinary actions. Later on, a video was broadcasted on mainstream TV of the two being dismissed of their duties officially.
Long after that event, there was no news on the issue anymore until the two dismissed officers decided to share their sides of the story. They mentioned that they didn.t intend to collect bribe from the Dutch woman and in fact, they were only being playful with concerning the request. They mentioned that they cried like a baby when they were stripped of their uniforms. The constabularies revealed that they have been in the force for 3 years and haven't received their salaries for those years. With no earning to feed with, they decided to take to bribe-asking as a means of livelihood.
