Josh frequently tends to let his obsessions such as massive consumerism, and his autistic love for thing such as Halloween and shoes overtake him, resulting in some genuinely hilarious actions (at his expense). What specifically makes Josh funny is how his poor channel management and hyperactive focus on his autistic interests set him up for failure each and every time he attempts youtube.
BEYOND THE BITBLOCK & JT'S DULL SHINE
While Josh attempts to make it seem like TheBitBlock is a channel ran by multiple people, whenever he feels like it (a rare occurrence), It's pretty clear he runs the channel, from the fact that he's in almost every single video on the channel, and he's the one who makes all the impulsive decisions in terms of the channel, and one result of these impulsive decisions is that Josh has attempted to retool his channels several times, each time ending up worse than the last in terms of viewer retention. His most known retooling was when he changed the name of TheBitBlock to "Nintendo Beyond", completely killing any chance of BitBlock's growth at the time, due to a combination of viewers mixing him up with other Nintendo Channels.
Nearing the end of 2020, Josh decided that he would quit TheBitBlock and focus on his JT Shine channel when 2020 ended,because views couldn't possibly get any lower because he was "tired of modern Nintendo", the same reason that he temporarily left TheBitBlock to flounder for 3 months because he couldn't be assed to make any videos about "modern Nintendo".
As the end of 2020 approached, Josh decided he didn't like the name of JT Style, so he decided to rebrand yet another channel, changing the name of JT Style into JT Shine. Since JT Style was already a failing channel with pitiful views, the rebrand didn't have much effect on his views.
As of now, only time will tell how much his JT Shine adventure will result in failure.
SKELETON HOLIDAYS & SHOESTORE PANDEMONIUM.
One of the things Josh loves most is the holiday of Halloween. While Josh does go overboard for other holidays (such as wrapping some of his walls in wrapping paper for Christmas 2020, decorating his entire house for the summer, etc.) Halloween is the Josh holiday. He frequently spends months at a time, every single year to prepare for Halloween, autistically decorating every single inch of his house each year. Inside and outside. Including places such as his ceiling fan, refrigerator, and bathroom. Josh typically makes a Halloween tour every single year, with the highlights of batshit being his 2017, 2019, and 2020 tours. His 2020 "Halloween Experience" Vlog on JT Shine is also a strangely batshit insane video where Josh goes and interacts with real people including his neighbors and children on the night of Halloween.
During 2020, His preparations for the holiday included autistically reconstructing the entirety of Luigi's mansion, including the trees and clouds, and terraforming his entire Animal Crossing island, Amity, to make it Halloween themed, spending months in the process. This is not an easy process, you can only move one building a day, and he moved every single building on his Animal Crossing island. And no, he didn't change the clock to do so, he hates "time traveling".
Josh also likes to collect Halloween candy, yes. You read that right, Josh collects Halloween candy, some of the shit in his collection is over 10 years old, hard as a rock marshmallows, solidified liquid candy, gummy skewers taped back shut after being opened. The list goes on and on.
Another thing Josh is autistically obsessed with is shoes, specifically, expensive designer shoes, not those "sweatshop nikes" as he calls them. Some of the rooms in Josh's house look straight out of a shoe store, his favorite shoe brands are "Marc Jacobs" "Jim Plastics" and Adidas, as these are the ones he has collected the most of for his "Shoe Museum".
Josh's shoe museum is an entire section of his house dedicated to his shoe collection, he had over 140 pairs of shoes in 2016, and the number has grown more and more each day.
JOSHY IS ANGRY & CRITICSM BAD
Josh absolute loathes when Nintendo dares to do or make anything he doesn't like, Some of his best moments of anger are the Mario Party Rant, where he says he wants to literally fire people with a blowtorch for making Mario Party The Top 100 (A collection of the series's past minigames on the 3DS)
Why does he want to literally fire them? Because they dared to make it on the Nintendo 3DS instead of the switch, this was a pattern while the 3DS was still being used by Nintendo. As shown with both his Mario Party Rant, and the "Luigi's Mansion for 3DS Hurts Me" video, in which he autistically spergs about Dark Moon not being as "atmospheric" as the original, despite being on a handheld system.
Josh also cannot stand any forms of criticism, as shown by his Kirby Star Allies spergfest video where he complains about people telling him he was (supposedly) being too harsh on a demo.
