The post said: “A top climate change scientist is warning that climate change will wipe out all of humanity unless we stop using fossil fuels over the next five years.”

She probably meant if we keep using fossil fuels, the global temp will rise enough that the effects will be irreversible. This could ultimately lead to climate disaster that could kill a lot of people. I doubt everyone would be wiped out but climate change will lead to a lot more deaths from extreme weather events, crop failure, contaminated water etc.
