I loved Guilty Gear xrd but Strive looks like garbage and it doesn't seem like it would be fixable. It's nice Skullgirls came back and now with Corona is tournament favored cause of the crazy netcode.

Dragon Ball Z Budokai 3 is the best fighting game. The special moves aren't retarded bullshit memory game combos, and they look cool, and the characters are pretty balanced all things considered, plus the capsule skill system is pretty cool. Dragon Ball Z Tenkaichi 3 is pretty close but is very different than most fighting games.

Tenkaichi was really cool, but it was more experimental and I don't feel like everything was as tight as it could've been, even though it is a big improvement over Tenkaichi 1 and 2. Kinda funny both Tenkaichi and Budokai got better as they went along.


Also it's different enough that I would put them in separate categories. Budokai is a more standard competitive fighting game, where Tenkaichi is more like a Saiyan Simulator or something. Also the AI in Budokai is harder, Tenkaichi I just cum all over their faces it's pretty gross.
 
I always was a fan of Mortal Kombat, Dead or Alive, Street Fighter, and Darkstalkers.

Last DOA game I played was DOA Dimensions on the 3DS, and it was a pretty cool collection. Story mode was a bit comical considering the models were frozen with no lip movement to the vocal lines.

I used to own the OG XBOX way back, and for some reason it would just REFUSE to play DOA Xtreme Beach Volleyball, even after buying another clean copy. I was convinced my XBOX was self aware. Luckily I was able to get PPSSPP working on my computer and can play DOA Paradise, which is essentially the same game. I just need to "get gud" at the actual volleyball games.

Never played Dimensions but I'll definitely check it out one of these days.

Unpopular opinion, but I liked Mortal Kombat Armageddon despite its many flaws.

Playing Tekken makes me feel like a retard. I just don't "get it". Maybe someday I'll sit down and make a serious attempt to understand it.


My fav fighting games is probably actually Samsho 2019. I really like the slow, deliberate pacing and big-dick damage.

I'll be honest, I've never played any of the Guilty Gear games and I don't know much about the series.
