IMO, they need to stop being so paranoid about AI. (I still can't upload the image I wanted to include, I'll try again later. It was from their list of demands where they want a wholesale ban on AI generated scripts.)

I can understand wanting to ban entirely AI-generated scripts, but what's wrong with AI-assisted writing? And how the fuck are they going to check that anyway? Like, if someone is preparing a script for some costume drama series, and they use AI to look up some typical turn of phrase at the time, how the fuck is that wrongful use of AI? Most custome dramas are shit when it comes to linguistics, if AI could improve that it would be a plus.

I believe most scripts would improve if they were written with the help of AI, especially when it comes to series which don't get the best of scripts anyways due to churn.

I wouldn't really be so sure about that. AI has unfortunately been a huge target for everyone because of the plagiarizing nature of AI. It doesn't know how to create. It just copies.
