Advertising for Onionfarms

@kiwifails Here is the problem: The very quality that makes Onionfarms.com unique (a splinter site of kiwifarms and the almost complete freedom of speech we have) is the very same quality takes it out of the running for advertising.
No legitimate advertising medium wants to be associated with a site that tosses around terms like "nigger". And yes, this kind of terminology would get us booted pronto.

Let's look at this realistically: There is no way to make this "family friendly" (i.e. a general public forum that is not 18+) without tearing the heart and soul out of the forum.

However, this might be possible with a surrogate forum. A surrogate forum is a separate forum that would publicly be the "face" of onionfarms that would be suitable for advertising and "family friendly". It would do the heavy hauling for us in terms of connecting to our social media channels and advertising. The lolcow forum would be more in the background and it would still be our cozy comfy place to discuss lolcows.

Right now we have Onionfarms.online but that does not seem to work very well. I am considering a direct subdomain or a nested forum. A subdomain is a domain within a domain. It functions as a totally separate website but it is still within the Onionfarms.com domain. A subdomain would be something like this: publicforum.onionfarms.com

A nested forum involves going into the onionfarms.com folder, inserting a subfolder and then setting up the forum inside of this subfolder.
In fact, this is what I have done with the wordpress site: https://www.onionfarms.com/Press/

I understand your concerns about the limitations of Onionfarms.com's content when it comes to attracting legitimate advertising. You're right that the free speech approach, while a key aspect of the site's uniqueness, can be a major turn-off for advertisers.

I think your idea of creating a surrogate forum is a great compromise. By having a separate, "family-friendly" forum that serves as the public face of Onionfarms, you can attract advertisers and connect with a broader audience, while still maintaining the lolcow forum as a private space for users who value the site's existing culture.

I'm intrigued by the idea of using a subdomain or nested forum to achieve this. A subdomain like publicforum.onionfarms.com could work well, as it clearly distinguishes the public-facing forum from the rest of the site.

But you don't disagree with the first premise in that sentence? Great new business partner you got Ken.

Pedofur, Ken has been sperging about adding to the number of sites he owns for years now. To call Onion Farms a success would be a bit of a stretch but this is lightning in the bottle for Ken. It's not going to get better than this and the last thing we need is an influx of normalfags for you to victimize with your predatory behavior
I'm not sure what you mean by predatory behavior. Do you even know what a subdomain is?

Most pedophiles go on to harm children Ken. Remember how you wanted your other forum to only be 13+? You don't think it's strange this neko loli weirdo is sitting here salivating while encouraging you to create a more "family friendly forum"?
She isn't salivating over a 13+ forum. She's in agreement with the idea of a general public forum while still having a private space for the lolcow discussion. What I find offensive is you trying to twist this into something it's not.

In other words, a personal hugbox for @kiwifails, segregated from the main Onion Farms forum. @Cat Administrator, this is actually a good idea and you should make it happen ASAP.

It wouldn't even cost you anything if you used Simple Machines. Alternatively, @kiwifails could buy a XenForo license for the hugbox if he feels it's nessecary.

No. This is not a personal hugbox for @kiwifails

Josh has designated certain sections of Kiwi Farms as members-only areas, such as the H/AN section, which requires users to be logged in to access. This model highlights the potential benefits of having a public-facing side and a private section. The private section can serve as a space for sensitive or exclusive content, allowing for more nuanced discussions and a greater sense of community among trusted members.

Have we been using the same forum? I mean this one specifically, not wherever you source your "US legal" fap folder
@kiwifails is incapable of original thought and lacks critical thinking skills, so of course he's too dumb to realize that Onion Farms already has two members-only forums.

Also, interestingly, Ken gave him a broom. This really is a repeat of @naught. Learn nothing, onions.
